  1. Chapter 1 - Introduction and synopsis of the Revelation, John's vision of Jesus.
  2. Chapters 2 & 3 - Jesus letters to the 7 churches - Encouragement, Conviction, and Promises: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamus, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, Laodicea.
    Promise to Church at Philadelphia
    Warning to the Church at Thyatira.
  3. Chapters 4 & 5 - John comes before the Throne of God, where he learns that only Jesus, the Perfect Lamb, is worthy to open the book. 24 elders and countless angels sing praises and worship the Lamb of God for redeeming the world.
  4. Chapter 6 - The first Six Seals (read: Matthew 24:1-15) Overview of the Tribulation. After the 5th Seal is opened, John sees the martyrs under the altar asking God how long until his wrath falls?
    1. White Horse - Red Horse - Black Horse - Pale Horse
    2. Souls in White Robes - Martyrs cry for justice
    3. Earthquake & Darkness
  5. Chapter 7 - Sealing of 144,000 Jews before the wrath comes on earth & sea (read: Revelation 12:6). Redeemed Church worships Jesus with the angels. **here we see the first scene that we know is out of order in the timeline, because the seventh seal has yet to be opened, and we see people arrayed in fine linen who came through the tribulation.
  6. Chapter 8 - First Four Trumpets (read: Matthew 24:15-31)
    1. Seventh Seal opened
    2. Heaven silent for 1/2 hour
    3. Abomination of Desolation revealed (Antichrist) (read: Daniel 9:27, Daniel 11:31, Daniel 12:11, Matthew 24:15, John 5:43 & 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 - followed by great tribulation - Matthew 24:21) End will come in 3 1/2 years (1,290 days).
    4. 1/3 trees & grass burnt up
    5. 1/3 sea turns to blood, 1/3 fresh water turns bitter
    6. 1/3 sun, moon, stars turn dark
    7. Woes proclaimed for those remaining for the next three judgements
  7. Chapter 9 - Fifth & Sixth Trumpets
    1. Demonic scorpions torment those not sealed by God for 5 months
    2. 1/3 humanity killed in war
  8. Chapter 10 & 11 - Two witnesses
    1. God's plan accomplished
    2. Two witnesses prophesy for 3 1/2 years, are killed by the beast, bodies left on street for 3 1/2 days, are resurrected and ascend to heaven for all the world to see.
    3. 7th Trumpet - The resurrection (read: Daniel 12:2, Matthew 24:29-31, John 6:39-40, 1 Corinthians 15:52, 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18) 7 Bowls of wrath dispensed on "those who dwell on the earth" - unbelievers, beast worshippers. The Day of the Lord. The Ark of the Covenant appears in the temple.
  9. Chapters 12-13 **here we see a wide-angle view - The nation of Israel, persecution, Jesus - then a fast forward: Michael the Archangel fighting Satan in heaven, Satan cast down, and the angel proclaiming salvation to those who overcame by the blood of the Lamb, and woe to the inhabitants of the earth (right before the final wrath) - followed by a 70th week overview of the beast and his persecution of the saints
    1. The Woman in Travail - Describes Nation of Israel persecuted by Satan - anti-Semitism
    2. Jesus came out of Israel, will lead with a rod of iron, and is sitting on His throne
    3. Michael and his angels defeat Satan and his angels - 1/3 are cast out of Heaven
    4. Salvation - Rejoice ye heavens, Woe to the inhabitants of the earth [12:10-12:12]
    5. God protects & preserves Israel in the wilderness for 3 1/2 years (1,260 days) (read Matthew 24:15-22)
    6. Antichrist & False Prophet persecute God's people
  10. Chapters 14-15 Announcements & Warnings (The beginning of the Day of the Lord)
    1. The 144,000 are redeemed on Mt. Zion - the firstfruits of humanity [14:1 - 14:5]
    2. Other saints harvested [14:14 - 14:16], then the wicked - thrown into the winepress [14:17 - 14:20], Joel 3:13
    3. The everlasting gospel - Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. - proclaimed by an angel to those remaining on the earth (to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people)
    4. Another angel - Repent - Babylon is fallen
    5. A third angel - Those who take the number and worship the beast will suffer God's full wrath and the smoke of their torment will rise forever, no rest.
    6. Celebration - Overcomers (those who overcame the beast and his number) with harps in heaven praising God [15:2 - 15:4]- Angels leave temple with vials of wrath to pour out. Temple is filled with smoke, glory cloud, until all the judgements are complete.
  11. Chapter 16 - Seven Bowls of Wrath
    1. Sores for those who take the mark of the beast - Sea turns to blood and all sea creatures die - Fresh water to blood- Sun burns earth - Darkness & Pain - Euphrates River dries up (preparations for the Final Battle) - Greatest Earthquake
    2. Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed [is] he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. (16:15 appears between the anti-christ gathering forces for Armageddon battle and the seventh vial being poured out - earthquakes, thunder, lightning and humongous hail.)
  12. Chapter 17 - Describes antichrist's empire - Babylon - Harlot who sits on many waters - Idolatrous.
  13. Chapter 18 - Babylon the great (weathly, idolatrous empire) is fallen. All plagues - fire, famine, death - come in one day. People of earth mourn, destruction is complete and eternal.
  14. Chapter 19 - Marriage Supper of the Lamb. [19:1 - 19:9, 7:9 - 7:17 ] Christ's return to earth with angels & His people to destroy the antichrist & his armies, set up Millennial Kingdom. (Daniel 12:12)
  15. Chapter 20 - The Millennium
    1. Satan bound for 1,000 years, Christ rules the earth
    2. Satan released, final battle with unbelievers, Great White Throne Judgement. Satan cast into lake of fire, followed by death and Hades - all wicked.
  16. Chapter 21 & 22 - The New Heaven and new earth. No pain or suffering. [21:2, 21:9 - 21:27] (the Bride of Christ is the New Jerusalem - One people united in worship - 12 Tribes over the gates & 12 Apostles are the foundation). All who thirst may come to drink from the Living Water, eat from the Tree of Life. The Father & the Son reign in the New Jerusalem. (read Isaiah 55:1-3) Jesus is coming soon.

Revelation 1:3 Blessed [is] he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time [is] at hand.

Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed [are] the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed [is] he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Revelation 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed [are] they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Revelation 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed [is] he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
